1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how RaveBae Digital LLC (“RaveBae,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you access or use the RaveBae mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

RaveBae is a community, matching, messaging, and event-related service designed to help adults connect with other ravers for dating, friendship, events, creative collaboration, business networking, and related community experiences.

2. Age Restriction

The Service is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old. By creating an account or using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a person under 18 has created an account or provided personal information, we may delete the account and related information. If you believe a minor has created an account or submitted information to RaveBae, contact us at support@ravebae.io.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Account and Basic Profile Information

We collect information you provide when you create, update, or use an account. This may include:

  • Display name, username, email address, phone number if collected, password or authentication credentials, profile settings, account preferences, and support communications.
  • Birthdate or age confirmation. RaveBae may use your birthdate to verify age and may display your age publicly instead of showing your full birthdate.
  • Profile photos and other images you upload.
  • Bio or free-text profile content you choose to provide.

3.2 Identity, Orientation, Connection, and Preference Information

RaveBae profile and matching features may collect optional information you choose to provide, including:

  • Gender identity, self-described gender, sexual orientation, pronouns if offered, and who you are looking to connect with, such as women, men, non-binary people, or no preference.
  • Connection intent, such as serious relationship, casual dating, emotional intimacy, festival or show partner, travel partner, friendship, creative collaborator, business networking, open to exploring, or no expectations.
  • Relationship style, such as monogamous, polyamorous, ethically non-monogamous, casual only, friends only, open to explore, or prefer not to say.
  • Family and lifestyle information, such as whether you have children, whether you are open to connecting with someone who has children, fitness level or lifestyle, and other lifestyle preferences.
  • Compatibility information, such as love languages, political alignment, spirituality or religion, and other compatibility preferences.
  • Identity extras, such as substance-use comfort level and kink or fetish openness. These fields may be optional, limited to certain users, or available only through premium features.

3.3 Music, Scene, Event, and Community Information

RaveBae may collect information about your music, event, and scene preferences, including:

  • Music genres and subgenres, such as house, techno, bass music, breaks, downtempo, hard styles, trance, disco, Afro house, drum and bass, jungle, and other genres you select.
  • Event frequency, event type preferences, and show or festival preferences, such as clubs, festivals, warehouse events, day parties, boat parties, burner or transformational events, VIP, front rail, chill zones, dancing, flow toys, or similar preferences.
  • External music profile URLs or handles you choose to provide, such as SoundCloud, Spotify, Mixcloud, Apple Music, or Bandcamp links.
  • Artist, promoter, performer, or scene roles, such as DJ, producer, promoter, venue, dancer, VJ/visuals, fire spinner, flow toys, or not currently.
  • User-created events, event listings, host details, RSVPs or joins if offered, event comments, event reports, and related event activity.

3.4 Location Information

RaveBae uses location to help users find nearby matches, friends, raves, events, and community activity. You may enter or search for a city, state, and country, or you may choose to use your device location to detect your city automatically.

When you use current location, your device may ask whether RaveBae may use precise location while you are using the app. If you grant device location permission, RaveBae may collect and process precise location information from your device while you are using the app. RaveBae may also process city, state, approximate location, event location, search location, IP-based location, and other location-related information you provide or generate through app activity.

Your exact real-time location is not intentionally shown to other users. Depending on the feature and your settings, other users may see your city, approximate location, distance, event location, or nearby results. Users may be able to filter or search by distance in miles, which means RaveBae may process location internally to calculate or display nearby matches, events, or raves even if exact location is not shown.

You can change location permissions through your device settings. If you block or disable location permissions, some nearby-match, nearby-event, distance-filtering, or safety-related features may not work properly. RaveBae does not intend to collect background location unless a future feature clearly asks for that permission and you choose to allow it.

3.5 Messages and Chat

RaveBae allows users to send and receive messages. Messages are stored so the Service can deliver messages, maintain conversations, support user safety, investigate reports, prevent abuse, provide support, and comply with legal obligations.

Messages are stored normally and are not currently end-to-end encrypted unless the app expressly states otherwise. RaveBae may add additional encryption or security features in the future. If message handling materially changes, we may update this Policy and related app disclosures.

We may use third-party services, including Firebase, to support chat and related features. Authorized RaveBae personnel and service providers may access message-related information when reasonably necessary for operations, support, safety, moderation, legal compliance, or abuse prevention.

3.6 Safety, Reports, and Moderation Information

We may collect information related to safety tools, reports, blocked users, moderation decisions, abuse prevention, suspected fake accounts, harassment, unsafe conduct, unsafe locations, substance-related concerns, event concerns, screenshots submitted to us, and related account, message, event, device, time, date, and location information when available.

3.7 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Service, we and our service providers may automatically collect information such as:

  • Device and app information, such as device type, operating system, app version, language, mobile carrier, device identifiers, push notification token, IP address, and crash logs.
  • Usage information, such as screens viewed, features used, likes, passes, matches shown, messages sent, event interactions, search activity, session duration, referral information, diagnostic events, and app performance data.
  • Analytics information, including information collected through Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or similar analytics tools to understand app performance, improve features, and evaluate user engagement.
  • Approximate location, such as general location inferred from IP address, device settings, profile city, city search, or app activity.

3.8 Information From Third Parties

We may receive information from third parties if you sign in through a third-party service, interact with our ads or social pages, purchase through an app store, use identity verification or background-check features if offered, use event or ticketing partner features, click sponsor or affiliate links, or otherwise interact with third-party services connected to RaveBae. This may include name, email address, profile photo, purchase confirmation, device identifiers, verification status, fraud signals, referral information, or partner interaction information.

4. Sensitive Information

Some information users may choose to provide through RaveBae can be sensitive. This may include precise location, private messages, safety reports, event attendance, relationship goals, gender identity, sexual orientation, relationship style, political alignment, religion or spirituality, substance-use comfort level, kink or fetish openness, family information, and other profile details.

Sensitive profile fields are optional unless they are required for a specific feature you choose to use. RaveBae may display some profile information to other users, matched users, or users viewing your events according to the Service design and your settings. Current screens indicate that some fields, such as connection intent, may be private and not shown on your profile, and some identity extras may be visible only to matched RaveBaes. These visibility rules may change if the app feature or settings clearly indicate a different use.

RaveBae does not currently plan to sell sensitive personal information. If RaveBae later introduces data practices that qualify as a sale or sharing of personal information under applicable law, we will update this Policy and provide any legally required notices, choices, or consent mechanisms.

5. How Profile Information May Be Visible

Depending on the feature and your settings, other users may see information such as your display name, age, profile photos, city, bio, selected music genres, scene preferences, event preferences, performer or artist roles, and user-created events. Your exact birthdate is not intended to be displayed publicly.

RaveBae may use information that is not shown on your public profile to provide matching, recommendations, filters, safety features, event discovery, distance-based results, personalization, analytics, and app improvement.

Because profile, premium, matching, and event features may change over time, review the screens, privacy prompts, and settings shown in the app before adding information you do not want shared with other users.

6. Background Checks, Identity Verification, and Safety Features

RaveBae does not currently conduct criminal background checks on users before allowing them to communicate through the Service. RaveBae may offer optional identity verification, background-check features, or other safety-related tools in the future. If those features are introduced, they may require additional information, separate consent, and processing by third-party verification providers.

Safety features, reports, blocks, moderation decisions, and related account, message, event, location, and device information may be used to investigate reports, protect users, enforce our Terms, prevent fraud or abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

7. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Create, maintain, secure, and authenticate accounts.
  • Build, personalize, and display user profiles.
  • Provide matching, discovery, search, event, chat, distance-filtering, recommendation, and community features.
  • Use profile, preference, location, music, scene, lifestyle, compatibility, and identity information to help suggest matches, events, raves, friends, and community connections.
  • Show your city, profile information, user content, user-created events, and event activity to other users according to the Service design and your settings.
  • Operate safety, reporting, blocking, moderation, and abuse-prevention features.
  • Review reports, investigate harmful conduct, enforce our Terms, and protect users.
  • Send service messages, transactional emails, account notices, password reset emails, verification emails, push notifications, safety notices, and app updates.
  • Improve the Service, debug issues, analyze usage, test features, and develop new features.
  • Provide customer support and respond to requests.
  • Offer, test, or manage paid features, subscriptions, boosts, premium sections, event-hosting tools, ticket affiliate links, hotel or travel affiliate links, merchandise, ads, sponsor placements, contests, sweepstakes, or promotions if introduced.
  • Comply with law, legal process, law-enforcement requests, app-store requirements, accounting obligations, and contractual obligations.

8. How We Share Information

We may share information as follows:

  • With other users: We may show profile information, city, age, photos, bio, music preferences, scene preferences, lifestyle details, compatibility details, matched-only fields, user-created events, event activity, messages, and other user content according to the Service design and your settings.
  • With service providers: We may share information with vendors that help us host, store, secure, analyze, support, email, message, notify, moderate, verify, process payments, or otherwise operate the Service.
  • With AWS and infrastructure providers: We use cloud infrastructure and related services to host backend systems, databases, media, backups, credentials, content delivery, email, and push-notification infrastructure.
  • With Firebase and analytics providers: We may use Firebase, Google Analytics, and similar tools to provide chat, analytics, diagnostics, crash reporting, and product-improvement features.
  • With app stores and payment providers: If paid features are offered, Apple, Google, Stripe, or other payment processors may process transactions and related payment information under their own terms and policies.
  • With verification or background-check providers: If optional identity verification or background-check features are offered in the future, relevant information may be shared with third-party providers after notice and consent required for that feature.
  • With event, ticketing, affiliate, sponsor, advertising, or promotion partners: If these features are offered, we may share or receive information needed to operate those features, track referrals, measure campaigns, or provide the requested experience.
  • For legal, safety, and enforcement reasons: We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms, protect users, investigate fraud or abuse, prevent harm, or defend our rights.
  • Business transfers: We may disclose or transfer information in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction.

9. Third-Party Tools and Services

RaveBae currently or may in the future use third-party tools and services, including cloud infrastructure, databases, content delivery, media storage, backups, secrets management, transactional email, push notifications, Firebase chat, Google Analytics, app-store services, payment processors, maps, verification providers, ticketing partners, affiliate partners, sponsors, or advertising tools.

These third parties may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies. RaveBae is not responsible for third-party websites, apps, platforms, purchases, tickets, events, content, or privacy practices.

10. Marketing, Affiliates, Ads, and Promotions

RaveBae may send transactional and service-related messages. We may also send marketing emails, newsletters, push notifications, or promotional messages if permitted by law and your settings. You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link or contacting support@ravebae.io. Some service-related messages are necessary for account or security purposes and may not be optional.

RaveBae may offer or test paid features, subscriptions, boosts, premium profile sections, event-hosting tools, ticket affiliate links, hotel or travel affiliate links, merchandise, ads, sponsor placements, contests, sweepstakes, or promotions. These features may not be available during beta or at launch. If introduced, additional terms or disclosures may apply.

11. Your Choices

Depending on the feature and device, you may be able to:

  • Review, edit, or delete certain profile information in the app.
  • Choose whether to complete optional, premium, sensitive, matched-only, or private profile fields.
  • Control device location permission through your device settings.
  • Use city search or manual city entry instead of device location when available.
  • Control push notifications through your device settings.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails.
  • Block or report users where those features are available.
  • Delete your account within the app.
  • Contact support@ravebae.io to request help accessing, correcting, or deleting information.

12. Account Deletion and Retention

Users may delete their account within the app. When you delete your account, RaveBae will remove your profile from active display, subject to reasonable technical, legal, security, backup, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, accounting, safety, and enforcement needs.

We may retain certain information after account deletion if needed to comply with law, prevent fraud or abuse, investigate safety reports, enforce our Terms, resolve disputes, maintain backups, protect users, or operate the Service. Backup copies may persist for a limited period before deletion according to our backup and retention practices.

Messages, event activity, reports, and other content may remain visible or retained if they involve other users, safety issues, legal obligations, or system backups. We may also retain aggregated or de-identified information that no longer reasonably identifies you.

13. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. These may include access controls, private media storage, cloud infrastructure protections, credential storage, monitoring, and other security measures.

No app, website, database, transmission, or storage system is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for using caution when sharing information in profiles, messages, events, or meetups.

14. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of certain personal information, and to opt out of certain processing such as targeted advertising, sale of personal information, or certain profiling if those activities apply. You may also have rights related to sensitive personal information.

To submit a privacy request, contact support@ravebae.io. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. We will respond as required by applicable law.

15. International Users

RaveBae is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where we or our service providers operate. Those locations may have privacy laws different from those in your jurisdiction.

16. Third-Party Links

The Service may include links to third-party websites, apps, music profiles, ticketing platforms, venues, sponsors, advertisers, social networks, or affiliate partners. We are not responsible for the content, security, privacy practices, or terms of third-party services.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you through the app, by email, through an app-store listing, or by other reasonable means. The updated Policy will be effective when posted or as otherwise stated in the notice.
